They purchased the farm in 2003 from a family that had owned it since 1953. They live in the original farmhouse, which sits on a hill overlooking a creek. Beyond the creek are acres of organically grown lettuce, tomatoes, squash, carrots, potatoes, beets, edamame, pumpkin and more. They now manage their own CSA (Community Supported Agriculture Program) for 100 healthy eating members as well as selling at two markets weekly. Their farm was recently featured on Our Ohio. Read the article.

Wishwell Farms began as a dairy and grain operation over four generations ago. The grain operation remains an integral part of the farm. After the dairy portion was sold in 2001, the owners of Wishwell Farms began raising vegetables for the fresh market. What started as selling excess corn from the family's patch has grown into a substantial business for Jason Wish and his family, who depend on the farm for their sole source of income. After generations of using conventional farming practices, Wishwell Farms has become more attuned to consumers’ concerns about the use of pesticides and herbicides. Today, they monitor their crops and apply chemicals only as necessary. Jason employs around 12 part-time seasonal workers to help farm and sell produce at the family’s farm market stand (on US 68) in addition to selling at the our market.
